Emblem Of Mangkunagaran
Emblem of the Princedom of Mangkunegaran. The current armiger is Mangkunagoro X. Crown on the top of the emblem was derived from crown that has worn by Mahabharat character Karn. The supporters is cotton plant on the left, and rice plant on the right. Bow and arrow are on the bottom, and all of them had been tied with a red and white ribbon below. On the center of the emblem are sun rays inspired from Mangkunegoro I, and cursive writing of "MN" (the armiger). The emblem was designed on a blazon named "Surya Sumirat", means "the enlighting Sun". This emblem was introduced in 1866 as a prototype (no sun rays, with serif MN typeface rather than cursive one. The cursive MN in this current emblem was derived from this version of emblem also dated from Mangkunegoro IV.
